Namaste

With the winter chill in the air, we have no other option but to bundle up…but there is no need to settle for the basic style jackets we have seen over and over again.

Grown up Grunge

‘Grunge’ is a style that has been around for years. It is about being casual and comfortable, yet there is just something about it that gives your look an edgier vibe. Whether it be layering, an oversized piece, statement tee, plaid shirt, or military boots….something that gives your outfit an effortless and tough blend.

Today I mixed combat boots with baggier black overalls, a green puffer jacket, and scarf around my neck for a subtle grungy street look. You can shop my look below:

Loves Me, Loves Me Not

It wasn’t until recently that I found out Sam Edelman had a clothing line and when I saw this graphic tee I knew I had to have it! Usually the graphic tee’s I find I love are so high priced but this one was so reasonable…and talk about the DEAL OF THE CENTURY…this jacket retails close to $1,600 and I paid around $300 or less at Intermix Online (they have the BEST sales!!) I am loving white on and white for spring but since it is still pretty chilly the jacket works great with my orange suede Loubs.

Hat: Genie by Eugenia Kim/ J.Crew Blouse, Coat, Sweater, Pants/Boots: Stuart Weitzman /Bag: Givenchy

During cold winter months it can be so hard sometimes to bundle up to stay warm, yet still look fashionable. Winter accessories can easily look overwhelming, so I think it is important to invest in the right kind, even though they may be pricey. For example,  today I am wearing a long down puffer coat that is designed to insulate heat and manages not to look like a human sleeping bag. I paired it with leggings, and a cashmere sweater that is a good investment for layering, looking stylish, and staying warm. You lose the most heat through your head so it is definitely important to find a cute hat. I love this tweed Eugenia Kim hat that is perfect for both city streets and rural roads.
