New Blue's

Today I wanted to show you some of my new BLUES. When it comes to picking out a color to wear, blue is really never my first choice. However, sometimes we need to step outside of our comfort zone and when do it allows our creative juices to flow!

Grunge Meets Girlie

I do not know about you but with the return of the fishnet trend my Instagram feed has become saturated with photos featuring the web-like tights under dresses, jeans, skirts, etc.

Go Fur It

There is nothing I love more than being able to rely on a brand for the perfect attire no matter the season or event. When I walk into Banana Republic I can always bank on walking out with a bunch of new amazing goodies, which is why I continue to go back.

Their contemporary classics are designed for a style that endures and creations that can be added for your own unique look. Today’s fur vest (DON’T worry it’s faux) is not only so soft and beyond chic, but had endless styling options. It is perfect for fall, winter, and the holiday season, which is now upon us. I decided to pair it with this knit detailed with bows, and silk scarf for a casual and stylish look. Below, shop some of my favorite Banana picks of the season and enjoy some holiday shopping.

Fringe Finishing

Hi everyone!!

Today’s look is casual and cool. What I love about this ribbed long skirt is that is can be dressed up or down. However, when I first saw it I imagined it styled very laidback with an oversized tee. I ended up liking it with this knotted tank I have and simple white birkenstocks, which epitomize casual comfort.

I added this bandana like choker with paisley print, which unexpectedly looks awesome with the fringe finishing on the skirt…occupying the spotlight. Below, shop this look and similar items at a very low price. Thanks for stopping by today!

Olive Green

Hi everyone,

Rise and shine, the weather is so gorgeous today that I am not going to waste one second. I started my day with an early barre class, a quick coffee run and then going from there. You just can't resist getting out of the house and enjoying the day when it is so nice. Intermix is having a great sale with an additional 40% off, don't miss this one because you can find some really good deals and their clothing is beautiful. I recently purchased this olive green knit top already on sale plus with the additional percentage off, it was next to nothing and what a great day to wear it. This top is great to throw on with a pair of your favorite jeans, shorts, or even a cute skirt... fun and flirty. I added a calf hair belt for a little spark, my Chloe espadrilles and this choker, which was the second one of my moms I borrowed. Everything comes around again, don't be so quick to get rid of things and knowing it belongs to my mother, it's all that much more special. Below, shop my top sale picks from Intermix. Thanks for stopping by today!!

Breezy In Blue

Well, it's back to a few days of chilly weather but luckily these photos were shot last week when it was much nicer and it's looking like it's going to change back soon, so yay for that because I am not in any hurry to go out and leave my comfy bed. I think I would rather just pull the covers up and hang right here for the day.

Today’s outfit screams summer with these wide leg wrap pants. I love how they move when the wind blows and the side slits allow for a little leg to show when you are walking, just a fun to wear summer pant. If this print may look a little familiar it is probably because it is very similar to the long pink maxi dress I wore a few weeks back (also shoppable below) Today I added a crop top with charming ties at the hem and a pair of wedges for a look that makes you feel like you belong at the ocean. I hope everyone gets through their Monday blues and enjoys the week. Thanks for stopping by.

In The Trenches

A trench is the perfect topper this time of year when the weather is always changing. It is also a piece that can take you through all four seasons as you add or remove layers. With so many different styles available nothing will make you feel as ready to take on the rain. Shop my picks below…ranging from the classic style to wrap around, and even denim.

Birds of a Feather

Feathers always add femininity, glam, and of course movement to any look. Today they prove sweaters can be special too. Instead of pairing your jeans and pumps with your average sweater, sometimes it is fun to find different pieces that add that unique touch. This cashmere shell from J.Crew does just that…detailed with playful feathers at the bottom. I decided to wear a blouse underneath for a finishing touch and more relaxed look. Shop this look below:

Faded Pinstripes

Springy and casual for a beautiful Wednesday afternoon!! I paired a classic silhouette pinstripe button up with white jeans…and check out these awesome espadrilles!! The BIGGEST thank you to the Rebecca Minkoff team for a pair of their studded flats in bright coral. I am obsessed!! Pops of color are bound to make a difference in your outfits and wardrobe this spring (and pretty much all year long) Shop today’s look below:

Pink Fluff

Good morning and happy Monday!! I hope everyone’s week is off to a great start. Today’s look is pink and fluffy. With the holidays around the corner and cold weather coming hats and jackets can make awesome gifts.

Today I have on a classic flight jacket in pink. It fits oversized and fully lined, which makes it great for the winter. I am always a fan of Eugenia Kim accessories. They are designed with feminine modernity, unexpected details, bold colors, and they never disappoint. The chunky knit I have on today is so adorable with pink pom poms on top!! It is linked and exclusive to Neiman Marcus and I also have listed a few other favorites. Shop my look below:

Red Accents

Sweatshirt:H&M|Jeans:Joe's Jeans|Boots:Toga Pulla|Scarf:Vintage Celine|Hat:Older

You don’t need a whole new wardrobe to spice up your look…sometimes all you need are the right accessories. Even the most boring outfits can be transformed with the help of a few key pieces. Today I have on jeans and a plain black sweatshirt (boring right?!) but the outfit is given character by red accents and a mod inspired driving cap.

Around my neck is a Celine printed silk scarf I ordered off of the vintage boutique on Farfetch. There are some really awesome pieces on there for great prices.  The red design just happens to match my new Toga Pulla boots….which I immediately became obsessed with as soon as I saw. I think the western style silver buckles on the side are just the coolest and the scarf adds a perfect refined touch.

If you are searching for a plain sweatshirt, I recommend this one from H&M. It is a great price and also comes in light pink and gray. Below, shop this look and my scarf picks (both vintage & new) I hope everyone has an amazing weekend. XOXO

Tokyo is for Lovers

Staying sharp with this amazing charcoal plaid coat from J.O.A. (which is now under $100 I may add!) Today’s look is a casual and everyday outfit featuring jeans and a printed tee with the script “Tokyo is for Lovers”. I went a few sizes up in the top because I preferred it a little oversized.

This look is one everyone can put their own twist on. Whether it be a different tee, a sweater, layering, or accessories…let your style shine! I added a felt Rag and Bone hat for a charming touch and menswear-inspired feel. I wore my favorite Stuart Weitzman 50/50 leather/neoprene boots. For anyone looking for the perfect pair of over-the-knee boots I recommend these. I know they are a little pricey, but trust me they are worth every penny!! Hues of Blue

Happy Friday everyone,

It feels so good to finally be out and about after much family illness. This week I was in New York with my sister and friends and we have been having such a good time. Wednesday we went to a white party at Bagatelle and Thursday we were invited to a launch party for StyleLend in Soho that was hosted in a beautiful penthouse owed by Nouriel Roubini. I had a chance to meet some really nice people and from there we had a great time bouncing around the city.

Now I am on to today's post where I am wearing my favorite white Joe's Jeans and this knit multi-color striped top with contrasting cuffs from T by Alexander Wang (on sale now!!). I am loving the striking look of this top and I added a blue belt that came on an older random dress and it just happened to work perfectly.

Adding a neutral pump and a bag from Reed and all set for a casual day. I'm off running errands today. I hope everyone has a great weekend and I will see you Monday!

Short Days, Long Nights

Tee:Zara|Jacket:Zara|Jeans:Joe's Jeans|Pumps:Christian Louboutin

First and foremost I would like to say Thank you to Megan for this beautiful ring!! I just love it and they have the cutest things at www.mosettejewelry.com Check them out!! I was in NY last week and I picked up a few things at Zara including this great graphic tee and the sweetest little jacket, which I’m sure will get a lot of use. This type of jacket can be worn with so many things…dress it up or down, it can be worn on a casual day with jeans or shorts or you can pair it with a skirt or over a dress. I love everything about it…the fabric and the pattern with the little bit of fringe around the edge just calls my name. Today I chose to wear it with a pair of white jeans and my denim Louboutin’s, which when I purchased I wasn’t sure I would get a lot of use out of them but they are quickly becoming a go to, they seem to match everything…so easy to wear.

COOL

Tee:JCrew|Jacket:Santa Fe Apparel|Jeans:Joe's Jeans|Espadrilles:Tory Burch|Clutch:Lanvin (sold out)

Looking forward to the weekend and relaxing with the warm weather finally arriving…my favorite time of year.  I was in the city yesterday for a busy day and was to attend an event last evening but unfortunately my family has been dealing with the rapid failure of my grandfather so things have been a little up and down for us and I had to return home and was unable to attend. My sincere apologies go out to Kelly and her team. On a more positive note…TGIF! Today is all about styling this lightweight chambray jacket from Santa Fe Apparel. The brand does an amazing job at creating garments for the trend-savvy consumer. I paired it with white denim, an easy striped tee and chic leather espadrilles. I love the woven navy trim on them!! The navy picks up the color from the large clutch, which is so COOL. The multi-colored letters add a touch of fun to the look.

Denim Pencil Skirt

Skirt:Joe's Jeans| Blouse:JCrew|Pumps:Barbara Bui (older)

A spring staple for me this year is a denim skirt. I am so obsessed with the pieces Joe's Jeans are putting out this season. Not only have I purchased two pairs of denim I added this perfect fitting semi-distressed skirt to my wardrobe. The medium rinse is great for transitioning this from a cute daytime outfit to a sexy look at night. I combined this with a classic button down shirt from J.Crew, one of my go to pumps, and a Chanel brooch on the pocket for a cute little add on accessory. ps…one can never have too many white button downs! EVER.

Favorite Jeans

We all have pieces of clothing that we love but there is always something special about our favorite jeans…and they are always SO hard to replace. Finding a pair that fit perfect seems nearly impossible. I had a pair from Guess that I have been wearing for YEARS until the worst happened…they started to rip. Recently I bought a pair of distressed Joe’s Jeans which I hate to say, I have been living in…so obviously I couldn’t have been more excited when I found out they came out in white!!! The fit is incredible and I just love the frayed cuffs at the bottom. Today I paired them with a white top, and this new long velour coat from Zara that I fell in love with when I saw it in the store. The look manages to show it is indeed spring, but still a little cold out.
