I Feel Love

Happy Monday Everyone!!!

I do not know about you, but I definitely have found love in this graphic oversized tee designed by Givenchy’s creative director Riccardo Tisci.  What really interests me is that Tisci gets a majority of his inspiration from the streets and the diverse culture of America. As a graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology….I spent four years studying different ideologies of society and the deeper meanings behind both human relationships and institutions.  I thought of sociology after I watched a brief video I found on the internet (that you can watch here) Tisci takes his personal thoughts and experiences and dives into his creative work. You may see repetitive symbols such as stars, Bambi, basketball, rottweiler’s, and even sayings such as the one on today’s tee “I Feel Love”…and they all hold meanings.

It only makes sense that I went with a very distressed and streetstyle look with denim, black booties, and a black leather choker. These Fendi bug Chelsea boots are my latest shoe purchase and I just am TOO obsessed!! Anyway…you can get this look and similar by shopping below:

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Precious and Primitive

Scarf:Precious and Primitive| Denim:Rag and Bone| Pumps: Christian Louboutin

Today I am showing off my beautiful new scarf from a recent collaboration with Precious and Primitive. The line created by Stephanie Sachs and Sandee Zahn combines precious fabrics with primitive designs, and uses bold colors and patterns in their ultra soft scarves. The tribal pattern (pictured above) has rich shades of brown and cream, which is perfect for me because I love neutrals so much.

I decided to be very simple today, while pairing the scarf with a white tee, denim, and my nude pumps. There are so many unique ways you can style the scarfs from headpieces, to tops, and even sarongs.

Minimalist Look

Dress: Theory/ Jacket: Alice & Olivia (Older)/ Booties: Miu Miu (Older)

There is just something about dressing in all black that just always looks and feels so cool. Whether it is how chic it is, easy to pair, or perfect for layering, it differs for everyone, for me, it always makes me feel sophisticated. This black dress from Theory forms to the body and is finished with a ribbed turtleneck and cap sleeves for a very minimalist look. I love pieces like this that work anywhere and everywhere and offer a simple solution to getting dressed. I paired it with my metal tipped suede ankle boots and studded bomber jacket for an edgier look, which is a little bit different for me.
