Today’s look is all about chic layering and mixing of bold colors. This ‘cocoon’ coat is inspired by old-school stadium blankets and adds warmth without bulk. I’M BACK!!!!
After spending a few hours fixing my site (which is still in the process) I can finally show you one of my new looks!! I called today’s post cowboy cool because this shirt/dress gives off a little bit of a cowboy vibe with the snap cuffs and fold-over collar. I was originally going to wear it as a dress with sneakers, but ended up switching it up…which is one reason this is worth the purchase…two in one!!
Can you believe it is already November 1st?? It is officially holiday season…which means one thing…TIME TO START OUR SHOPPING. I got back from NYFW last week (which was absolutely amazing!) I adore seeing the new collections and witnessing all of the details in person. A few of my favorite shows included Zimmermann and Rebecca Minkoff, and I had the pleasure to meet all of the designers!
The Minkoffshow was held right on Greene Street in Soho outside of the store. She shut down the entire street!! The pieces were classic, stylish, functional, and a little funky!
The sweatshirt and bag I am rocking today are designed by Rebecca. The sweatshirt shows you can go both ways…with a bold uptown graphic and shady downtown lettering falling like a shadow (as it would in Midotwn). I layered it over a blouse dress and added the classic Balenciaga moto ankle boot for an edgier touch. Shop today's look below:

I figured I would post this bright and cheerful oversized sweater today with white jeans because it’s Labor Day and you know what that means….
When it comes to wearing white after the holiday what are your thoughts? I know the so called ‘rule’ is a lot more relaxed these days…but many people still refuse to wear white after Labor Day. Personally, I love an all white outfit even in the winter. I think it can be stunning, especially with the right shoes.
Today, I added my favorite pair of Christian Louboutin pumps for a statement shoe. I love the mix of yellow, gold, and pink throughout this look with an added touch of sparkle. Shop below:

I am loving the look of scarves these days, rather around the neck, as a belt, around a hat or in the hair, they add a certain je ne sais quoi. This one in particular has an equestrian look to it, the brown tones mixed with the red are so elegant. Originally I was going to wear a red shoe but then decided to pull from the brown so I added my calf hair booties for that unexpected punch. No matter, it's still all about this scarf for me. I went from having it around my neck to tying it around my head and you are probably going to see me wearing this look at least a few times this summer as I play around with this accessory. Today I decided to wear sleek white wide-leg pants and this red and white striped off the shoulder top, another popular look this summer. Happy Monday Everyone!!!
I do not know about you, but I definitely have found love in this graphic oversized tee designed by Givenchy’s creative director Riccardo Tisci. What really interests me is that Tisci gets a majority of his inspiration from the streets and the diverse culture of America. As a graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology….I spent four years studying different ideologies of society and the deeper meanings behind both human relationships and institutions. I thought of sociology after I watched a brief video I found on the internet (that you can watch here) Tisci takes his personal thoughts and experiences and dives into his creative work. You may see repetitive symbols such as stars, Bambi, basketball, rottweiler’s, and even sayings such as the one on today’s tee “I Feel Love”…and they all hold meanings.
It only makes sense that I went with a very distressed and streetstyle look with denim, black booties, and a black leather choker. These Fendi bug Chelsea boots are my latest shoe purchase and I just am TOO obsessed!! Anyway…you can get this look and similar by shopping below:

I finally shot a bunch of new looks on Friday and I cannot wait to share them all with you! I gave today’s white look a modern twist with a black leather choker and my new favorite belt from B-Low the belt(a current must have!)

For accessories I added my calf-hair booties and my new yellow mini croc bag from Henri Bendel. I am loving the unexpected pop of yellow mixed with the spotted print…so fierce!
