Knit & Topstich

Think stripes, grids, patterns, and in today’s case even topstitch.  The technique once used strictly for seams, is now also used as a decorative element.

The best way to get over it? Go straight from bed to brunch in these super oversized lounge “Over It” overalls.

There is no doubt in my mind that the official color of the season is red. (I apologize in advance for the amount you are going to see it in my upcoming blog posts…)

Is it even fall iIf you haven’t accumulated a new assortment of oversized sweaters? Once the temperature starts to cool, roomy knits are your best bet.

Fall For It

With off-duty streetstyle looks being such a hit these days, it is no wonder the original work boots have made a comeback.

Stirred Up

We all know that fashion goes through cycles, and everything always comes back in style…even things we could have sworn we would never wear again.

Off The Grid

If you are looking for a new and easy incorporation into your wardrobe, look no further than a grid print trouser.

Sleeves of My Dreams

In the midst of wardrobe transitioning, I never just jump from one season to the next. I love combining pieces from both summer and fall and keeping my favorites on rotation.

Namaste

With the winter chill in the air, we have no other option but to bundle up…but there is no need to settle for the basic style jackets we have seen over and over again.

Hello friends,

My posts might be a little sparatic for the upcoming week or so as I am out of commission. Hope to be up and about soon and back at work. In the meantime, today's look has that military feel to it. I have had this jacket for awhile now and I don't get to wear it to often but it seemed to work well with these side striped trousers. They have a small slit at the bottom which is very in right now..giving them that athleisure feel. I just added a geometric mock-neck top with a pop of red in the shoe and this great gold clutch from Rebecca Minkoff which picks up the gold from the buttons on the jacket. This is probably one of my favorite looks for the season. Find similar items below and thank you for stopping by today.

In a few more days we will be ringing in a brand new year. 2016 brought so many new experiences for me and I am excited for 2017 to see what it may hold. It has been snowing for the past couple of days so my photographer thought it would be a good idea to get out and have a little fun with it. Every now and then the little kid comes out in all of us whether it be catching snowflakes on your tongue, throwing snowballs or making snow angels. It was a great day to be out and about making the most of it. I was recently invited to the Alice and Olivia sample sale before anyone else and I got first dibs on many beautiful items one of which was this long skirt and matching acrylic clutch. Originally wanting to wear heeled boots, the weather being as it was I decided to put on my low boots, socks, grab a pair of earmuffs and just go with it. Turns out it worked so well. Sometimes the unplanned turns out to be the best. I love these pictures as they show so much of the real me.

Wishing everyone a happy, healthy, and amazing New Year!!!

XOXO,

Go Fur It

There is nothing I love more than being able to rely on a brand for the perfect attire no matter the season or event. When I walk into Banana Republic I can always bank on walking out with a bunch of new amazing goodies, which is why I continue to go back.

Their contemporary classics are designed for a style that endures and creations that can be added for your own unique look. Today’s fur vest (DON’T worry it’s faux) is not only so soft and beyond chic, but had endless styling options. It is perfect for fall, winter, and the holiday season, which is now upon us. I decided to pair it with this knit detailed with bows, and silk scarf for a casual and stylish look. Below, shop some of my favorite Banana picks of the season and enjoy some holiday shopping.

XOXO
