We all know that fashion goes through cycles, and everything always comes back in style…even things we could have sworn we would never wear again.

Well, as you have seen on my Instagram, I just got back from Aruba and I had the most amazing and relaxing time. Every year I take two or three vacations with my family and we have been there several times because the Island has the best food, nicest people and pretty much guaranteed great weather. Two years ago we stayed at the brand new Ritz Carlton, which we loved but it is very quiet so this year we decided to go back to the Marriott Stellaris where there is much more activity. The grounds are beautiful and the sun was sizzling, so much so that we had to spend a little less time than usual on the beach. You are right at the equator so you can just imagine how great the weather really is. I cannot say enough about the food and we have several restaurants we frequent, never being disappointed.
We kept it a little more low key than usual this year not fussing as much for dinner, more sandals less on the heels, hair and makeup, which was kind of nice but doesn't always make for the best pics so I will restyle and repost some of my outfits when weather permits. In the meantime I'm back in the Northeast and back on the blog.
I wish I had this maxi dress while in Aruba…it just screams for clear blue water and pink sand. It has that princess feel to it with the flowy bottom. I paired it with pink pumps, and a light blue Edie Parker clutch for a little more color. I hope you like it as much as I do! You can get this look below.
Thanks for stopping by today!!
Sometimes casual style=the best style
This effortlessly chic dress by BB Dakota masters casual wear. The bold and color block knit makes as the perfect dress for warmer days and the perfect layering piece for when it cools down. You could add leggings, jeans, a belt, and even a collared shirt….talk about versatile.
Today’s accessories include suede booties, a slim crossbody bag that also converts into a clutch, and a scarf draped over my shoulders. This bag is also available in other colors if you were to decide to go with the blue or tan version of this dress. Shop this look below:
Converse sneakers have been around for years and are one of the most practical shoes. The reason being…they can be worn ranging with sweatpants to dresses and skirts and can suit all styles. Today I am wearing a white pair with all neutrals and a mix of sweatshirt material pieces. This is the first time I am wearing this trench style coat from Jack by BB Dakota and I have no idea why because I am so in love with it!!! The gray sleeves and hood against the khaki panels add such a different twist on the average trench. I paired it with a simple white tee and ‘flared surf skirt’ for a practical yet adorable everyday outfit.
