Pink & Oversized..two of my favorite things.
As we sneak closer into the chillier weather most of us will be mixing pieces from both our summer and fall wardrobe. From shorts and booties, jeans and short sleeve tee’s, or as in today’s case shorts and an oversized sweatshirt…the combinations are endless…so don’t put away your summer attire just yet.
This high neck sweatshirt is a perfect transitioning piece. I love anything oversized and especially turtlenecks!! I added shorts a floral statement necklace with crystals because hey, it isn’t fall just yet!! Shop this look below:
When I was younger I lived in everything and anything Lilly Pulitzer. As I got a little older, I grew away from it a bit…but sometimes when you step into a Lilly store it is just too hard not to fall in love all over again. When you wear bright colors, patterns, and prints it definitely affects your mood. It makes it impossible not to be happy and have fun no matter what you are doing.
For all of my Lilly lovers…the romper is a must have. Unfortunately, the one I have on today is no longer available online, but there are so many others that are just as adorable. To complete my look I added a straw bag, white sunnies, put my hair in a topknot and clipped in a Lilly bow. Shop below:

With the weather finally turning nice, it looks like summer is almost here. Yesterday I went on a seven mile hike to the top of Bucks Peak in Lake George. The view was breathtaking and I was able to get in some great exercise. Some of you were inquiring about my pants, they are not available through my site but you can go to the Adidas website to find them. They are part of the Dream Awaken collection by Pharrell Williams (really cool stuff) you are only allowed to purchase two pieces at once from the line. They were running a little large for me so I would watch my sizing, I ordered an extra small and I thought they were more like a size small so depending on your own body you might want to size down. Just food for thought if you don't want to worry about exchanging and then have them be no longer available.
Today's outfit is a black silk dress from rag and bone. This is one of those outfits where that big chunky jewelry I spoke about looks so good. I was going back and forth between the necklace I have on and one very similar from J.Crew(here) but in the end that little bit of gold stood out. The topper is a Eugenia Kim boater hat...(Love her hats). There is versatility in this dress, it is one that you could wear to a fancy event by just adding a pair of heels and depending whether or not it was a daytime or evening event, would determine my accessories. Today, I am wearing it very casual with a simple pair of black sandals, but it is so easy to take it from cute and feel good to a real WOW!!! number. After feeling a little under the weather yesterday and in bed the entire day with allergies and a pretty bad migraine, today I'm a little better. So I am going to try to go about my day, keeping my fingers crossed. I have spoken before about how I am loving wearing sneakers lately, especially with cute dresses and this is one of them. This striped dress with the cold shoulders is the second striped one I bought from French Connection and it is perfect to wear with sneakers. The look is just simple and fresh, easy to wear just about anywhere and very comfortable. You can add a few accessories with it, I thought about a white fedora with a black ribbon which would have been adorable but the decided to forgo, pull my hair back and just keep the look all about the dress. So on the lookout for these since I am more of a dress girl anyway. Find your favorites, the prices range and this particular one was about $80.00. Although it's dreary out today, I shot this outfit a couple of days ago. Because I am only 5 foot 2 I usually always wear heels, but lately I am so into sneakers and flats. I just love the way they look with dresses, skirts and just about everything these days, not to mention the comfort level. Today I paired them with this colorful dress from Mink Pink, which is a great throw on to just run errands and go about your day. I think I am more of a dress girl than pants so you will probably see this kind of look on me over the summer. I borrowed this straw hat from my mothers closet (thanks mom) and I seem to be adding to my hat collection a bit more. I have had my eye on these straw boater hats which I think are so cute. Hello everyone,
Well, as you have seen on my Instagram, I just got back from Aruba and I had the most amazing and relaxing time. Every year I take two or three vacations with my family and we have been there several times because the Island has the best food, nicest people and pretty much guaranteed great weather. Two years ago we stayed at the brand new Ritz Carlton, which we loved but it is very quiet so this year we decided to go back to the Marriott Stellaris where there is much more activity. The grounds are beautiful and the sun was sizzling, so much so that we had to spend a little less time than usual on the beach. You are right at the equator so you can just imagine how great the weather really is. I cannot say enough about the food and we have several restaurants we frequent, never being disappointed.
We kept it a little more low key than usual this year not fussing as much for dinner, more sandals less on the heels, hair and makeup, which was kind of nice but doesn't always make for the best pics so I will restyle and repost some of my outfits when weather permits. In the meantime I'm back in the Northeast and back on the blog.
I wish I had this maxi dress while in Aruba…it just screams for clear blue water and pink sand. It has that princess feel to it with the flowy bottom. I paired it with pink pumps, and a light blue Edie Parker clutch for a little more color. I hope you like it as much as I do! You can get this look below.

Today’s look is pretty casual and focused around classic black and red plaid. I think the crazy thing about the bold pattern is that it has so many different connotations (preppy, punk, grungy, chic etc.) There is a bit of a combo in this outfit- ranging from distressed jeans to this charming crossbody bag.

I am unsure why it is soo hard to find a nice oversized black sweater…but it is. This one by Vince is a bit of a splurge, but it will take you through fall and winter with ease. It is incredibly soft and can look chic from day to night.
It may have been really nice out these last few days, but winter aka beanie weather is around the corner and all of the cute ones always sell out fast. This snowflake pompom one is by Autumn Cashmere. They always have super cute sets. Last year I purchased a matching leopard beanie, scarf, and glove set which is still one of my favorites from them. Unfortunately, this snowflake one is currently not available online but I will keep checking in and keep you posted. One of my favorite boutiques to shop at in my area is Circles. They offer some of the most sought after designers such as DVF, Joie, Rag & Bone, Theory, Splendid, Veronica Beard, Nicole Miller Etc. Three pieces of today’s look can be found at the store- this jacket (Splendid), skirt (Joie), and boots (Vince). All pieces are favorite’s of mine this season.
I love that the long knit sleeves on this anorak give such a cozy vibe for the cold weather…not to mention are designed with a tribal inspired pattern. In addition to the striped tee and scarf layered underneath, I added this high-waisted wool skirt with an exposed front zipper, which is the perfect wardrobe addition. Today’s outfit is really unique for two reasons. The first being the obvious…..this awesome zippered knit from one of my new favorite brands Asilio. The details on it transform your average sweater into something much, much cooler, while also giving a breath of fresh air.
The second being…these Stella McCartney jeans were originally bleached with a pink tone (we had a little mishap with the washing machine….oops!!). Anyway, now I have a new pair of jeans.

I am so excited to collaborate with a great new contemporary brand called New Friends Colony and let me tell you…the pieces are AMAZING! Every garment is hand beaded and detailed with beautiful textures and patterns. From embroidered cami’s, dresses, and even swim suit cover up’s…the collection is the epitome of chic. Inspired by global artisan techniques, New Friends Colony allows us to interpret our own individuality and style. I have never really thought about myself having one particular style, but at this point in time if I HAD to say I would go with classic trendy. I turned this adorable blue and orange beaded shift dress a little trendier by layering both a denim and leather coat. I love shift dresses because they are so easy in the spring and summer to throw on with a pair of sandals during the day or dress up with a heel at night…depending on where you are going. Street meets luxury in this tasteful knit maxi dress from the line T by Alexander Wang. The collection is centered more around ‘tee-shirt dressing’, which offers a variety of styling options. I love that this dress is not skin tight, but more stretched out. When going about styling the chunky knit, I went with an urban-chic vibe. I added my new Antonello foldover clutch, which adds a unique touch with its handwoven fabric. I am so in LOVE with it!! The patterns between the clutch and the pumps look really cool together…and speaking of cool!! I finished the look with a black leather bomber jacket, safety chain choker, and long Chan Luu necklace.

Ok, soo…this oversized denim jacket was definitely an awesome purchase!! I was a little skeptical at first because it was a bit pricey but I have legit been wearing it non-stop!! It seems to be putting the finishing touches on a lot of my outfits. Today I added it with a simple black tank and a pair of Bermuda shorts. I haven’t worn Bermuda shorts in years because I was never really into the look of them, but this pair from Vince made me change my mind. They have a flattering fit and are actually really comfortable too. They can be styled just as cool and chic as any skirts or trousers and can easily be dressed down as well. I am more of a heel girl so obviously I went with a pump for some extra height and added snakeskin accents.
