Punk Floral

Dress:JCrew(Older, also love this one)|Pumps:Christian Louboutin (sold out)

Spring & summer for me…means great and easy dresses! I love this “punk floral” dress I have had from JCrew for about a year now. It is a tailored and easy straight silhouette with a chic cutaway back. The silk green fabric is so vibrant and the floral print adds a pretty touch for the nice weather. You can really pair a lot of different shoes with this… from pumps to sandals and all different colors. A perfect dress to make a dramatic entrance and exit.

Orange Tones

Pants&Top:Zara|Pumps:Christian Louboutin|Bag:Reed Krakoff (similar here)

Happy Thursday to all my friends…the holiday weekend is almost here and I hope everyone has a great one.  It has a tendency to rain every memorial weekend, so with any luck the weather will hold out.  I am wearing these high-waisted trousers from Zara today with a simple striped sleeveless top and I have this beautiful tote from Reed Krakoff that has a pretty blue lining so my denim Louboutins are again, perfect as the top also has a blue stripe in it.  The outfit is what I call casual chic…and I would be comfortable wearing it just about anywhere. I could also add the little jacket from yesterdays post with this if I needed a little warmth or wanted to dress it up a bit. I think I will go out and purchase a couple more of them because they are so great for that added something…

Short Days, Long Nights

Tee:Zara|Jacket:Zara|Jeans:Joe's Jeans|Pumps:Christian Louboutin

First and foremost I would like to say Thank you to Megan for this beautiful ring!! I just love it and they have the cutest things at www.mosettejewelry.com Check them out!! I was in NY last week and I picked up a few things at Zara including this great graphic tee and the sweetest little jacket, which I’m sure will get a lot of use. This type of jacket can be worn with so many things…dress it up or down, it can be worn on a casual day with jeans or shorts or you can pair it with a skirt or over a dress. I love everything about it…the fabric and the pattern with the little bit of fringe around the edge just calls my name. Today I chose to wear it with a pair of white jeans and my denim Louboutin’s, which when I purchased I wasn’t sure I would get a lot of use out of them but they are quickly becoming a go to, they seem to match everything…so easy to wear.

Lace Maxi

Lace Maxi Skirt: Alice and Olivia| Lace Crop Top: Alice and Olivia

Hi everyone!!! I just got back from the Bahamas yesterday and I had a great time!! The weather was beautiful and I met a lot of new friends! Now it is back to reality. Next week I will be posting all of my vacation looks, but this is one from my last shoot. As you know…I am obsessed with Alice & Olivia and this is one of my favorite looks. The set has so much sex appeal. The long pencil style skirt has a slit up the back and detailed with a nude lining, while the matching crop top twists at the top with an open back. The zipper runs straight down from the top and eventually opens into the V slit of the skirt. I hope you like it as much as I do.

Girl Cave Boutique

I am so thrilled to collaborate with Girl Cave Boutique on today’s blog post!! Not only are there great pieces for affordable prices…but they are also made for the everyday woman. Many of the garments can take you straight from work and into the evening. I am beyond in love with this two-piece pink and light grey color-block set. It is so classy and chic and literally perfect for the spring. Matching sets are the best because you never have to worry what you are going to pair the other piece with!! They provide much more flexibility as each piece can also be worn as a separate! Shop this set and many other adorable pieces at Girl Cave Boutique. Box Pleat Mini

Skirt:Alice & Olivia (Last Seen Here)| Top:Joie|Pumps:Christian Louboutin|Bag:Chloe|Chain: David Yurman

I have had this sky blue leather skirt for so long and could never seem to put together an outfit that satisfied me. However, when I tried it on with my Joie plaid button down I loved the combination of colors. I thought the outfit looked way more chic with the shirt loosely tucked in and unbuttoned at the top. All I kept thinking when I had this on is...I do not want to look like an Easter egg!! I thought my denim pumps prevented this oh so awful situation and added a striking contrast.

Princess Maxi

I wore this outfit to an event last week and unfortunately I didn’t take many pictures in it.  I am so in love with this dress so I HAD to make sure it went up on the blog. The cut is so feminine with the drop-waist ruffle and sheer fabric. It looks so beautiful when it flows in the wind. It feels like such a princess dress!! The crazy part is I wasn’t wild about it until I tried it on…and I immediately fell in love. Have you ever had the problem where you have an outfit and are running around like a madman last minute searching for shoes for it?? I feel like this would have been one of those outfits if I did not have these mesh Louboutin pumps. They could not have been more of a PERFECT match. For a bag I went with a faded rose-colored Chloé shoulder bag and tucked the straps in to use as a clutch. It looks so nice against the pale pink giving it a bolder color.

Weekender

Tee:Current Elliot(Similar)|Denim:Rag&Bone|Sweater:JCrew|
Pumps:Christian Louboutin|Weekender Bag:Sydney Love

Happy Friday everyone!!!

Well I'm off to the city this weekend for some fun time with the girls. I love this camo weekender bag I came across at a local boutique and it's coming with…perfect for an overnight or a couple of days. Today I am wearing a pair of Rag & Bone jeans which work so well with the so Kate Louboutin pumps and I added a great white tee and an orange sweater I bought at J.Crew which picks up the orange in my bag…just a great casual outfit to travel in. Be sure to check out my Instagram…some great shots coming up this month as I finally have gotten the time for a much needed vacation. Can't Wait!!!

Linen & Denim

White jeans are a summer staple for me. There is something so effortless about putting on your go to pair with literally anything from a simple tee or button down to a dressier shirt with a pair of pumps. With this outfit I chose to pair it with one of my favorite linen stripe button downs for summer. This top is still super neutral with a breathable linen material for those easy spring and summer days. I obviously had to add my latest obsession and purchase of these denim Louboutin’s to finish styling this look. These so Kate pumps will literally go with so many pieces I have in my summer wardrobe and I immediately had to bring them out.

New Friends Colony

I am so excited to collaborate with a great new contemporary brand called New Friends Colony and let me tell you…the pieces are AMAZING! Every garment is hand beaded and detailed with beautiful textures and patterns. From embroidered cami’s, dresses, and even swim suit cover up’s…the collection is the epitome of chic. Inspired by global artisan techniques, New Friends Colony allows us to interpret our own individuality and style. I have never really thought about myself having one particular style, but at this point in time if I HAD to say I would go with classic trendy. I turned this adorable blue and orange beaded shift dress a little trendier by layering both a denim and leather coat. I love shift dresses because they are so easy in the spring and summer to throw on with a pair of sandals during the day or dress up with a heel at night…depending on where you are going. The pieces can be purchased on websites such as RevolveClothing.com and Modcloth.com. If I were you I would hurry and make a purchase before they all sell out!!

Floral Jeans

Floral Jeans & Top:Alice&Olivia (Sample Sale Find/Similar Here & Here)|Pumps: Christian Louboutin|Jacket:Burberry (Older)

Stacey Bendet’s Alice & Olivia has been one of my favorite lines for quite a few years now. Her pieces just seem to always fit me well and they are utterly adorable. These floral jeans and sea foam colored top were a sample sale find my mom picked up for me in New York City last year. I paired the printed pants with my newest denim pumps from Christian Louboutin. At first I was unsure about the white accent heel, but then realized it can be very eye-catching for spring & summer ensembles.

Knit Maxi Dress

Dress:T by Alexander Wang|Jacket:Vince(older)|Pumps:Barbara Bui (older)|
Clutch:Antonello|Choker:Eddie Borgo

Street meets luxury in this tasteful knit maxi dress from the line T by Alexander Wang. The collection is centered more around ‘tee-shirt dressing’, which offers a variety of styling options. I love that this dress is not skin tight, but more stretched out. When going about styling the chunky knit, I went with an urban-chic vibe. I added my new Antonello foldover clutch, which adds a unique touch with its handwoven fabric. I am so in LOVE with it!! The patterns between the clutch and the pumps look really cool together…and speaking of cool!! I finished the look with a black leather bomber jacket, safety chain choker, and long Chan Luu necklace.

Denim Pencil Skirt

Skirt:Joe's Jeans| Blouse:JCrew|Pumps:Barbara Bui (older)

A spring staple for me this year is a denim skirt. I am so obsessed with the pieces Joe's Jeans are putting out this season. Not only have I purchased two pairs of denim I added this perfect fitting semi-distressed skirt to my wardrobe. The medium rinse is great for transitioning this from a cute daytime outfit to a sexy look at night. I combined this with a classic button down shirt from J.Crew, one of my go to pumps, and a Chanel brooch on the pocket for a cute little add on accessory. ps…one can never have too many white button downs! EVER.

Bermuda Shorts

Shorts:Vince|Denim Jacket: Current Elliot| Pumps:Barbara Bui (older)

Ok, soo…this oversized denim jacket was definitely an awesome purchase!! I was a little skeptical at first because it was a bit pricey but I have legit been wearing it non-stop!! It seems to be putting the finishing touches on a lot of my outfits. Today I added it with a simple black tank and a pair of Bermuda shorts. I haven’t worn Bermuda shorts in years because I was never really into the look of them, but this pair from Vince made me change my mind. They have a flattering fit and are actually really comfortable too. They can be styled just as cool and chic as any skirts or trousers and can easily be dressed down as well. I am more of a heel girl so obviously I went with a pump for some extra height and added snakeskin accents.

Nautical-Prep

_55A4285.jpg

You may recognize this dress from a recent post, however today it is taking an entire180. The striped dress I had paired with fringe rain boots and knee socks, I am now wearing with a deep V-neck sweater and patent leather pumps. The extra-long white knit just screams spring!! There is something very nautical and preppy about the stripes against the white and that is what inspired todays look. Both pieces can easily be styled on the more casual side, however I went with a pair of pumps instead of a white sneaker for a more elegant look.

Side Slit

Today’s oversized knit sweater is all about layering with the side slit. I love a great sweater and this one in particular is perfect all year round. Since it hasn’t been the warmest outside I layered a white tee and chambray shirt underneath. I just love how the open sides give visibility to the layering…especially on a day when the wind is blowing. On a warmer spring day I would not layer anything underneath it and instead, pair it with all white or a less distressed denim.

Proportions

I have had this knit crop top by Nicholas since early fall and this is the first time I have worn it. I am rather skeptical when it comes to crop tops because nailing the look can be tricky…especially when it comes to how much skin is exposed. I think it is important to play with proportions to keep the look sophisticated. Today’s look combines the embossed top with a pair of high-rise white culottes (also a first for me). Again, proportion is key for this style trouser. Because of the cropped length and wide leg the shorter top helps lengthen my silhouette, while the two-toned Louboutin pumps prevent the pants from taking over the entire outfit. I love what the leopard print in the back adds to this all white look.

Favorite Jeans

We all have pieces of clothing that we love but there is always something special about our favorite jeans…and they are always SO hard to replace. Finding a pair that fit perfect seems nearly impossible. I had a pair from Guess that I have been wearing for YEARS until the worst happened…they started to rip. Recently I bought a pair of distressed Joe’s Jeans which I hate to say, I have been living in…so obviously I couldn’t have been more excited when I found out they came out in white!!! The fit is incredible and I just love the frayed cuffs at the bottom. Today I paired them with a white top, and this new long velour coat from Zara that I fell in love with when I saw it in the store. The look manages to show it is indeed spring, but still a little cold out.

Spring Forward

Shot by Dino Petrocelli

Springing fashionably forward today with Current Elliot, Rag & Bone, and Joie. I recently stopped into Circles, a local boutique and spied this outfit on the mannequin, and knew right away I had to have it…found out one of my favorite girls styled it…Kudos Alex!! They pulled the entire outfit for me, I tried it on, and then added this floppy brim fedora. I am in love with the fit of these cropped pants especially since I have a very difficult time finding pants that fit me well. The tee I am sporting actually is a muscle tank with an open back…going to be so cool for the summer. The Current Elliot denim jacket is oversized and boxy and I imagine I will be pairing this with a lot. Easiest outfit I have ever purchased!!

Denim: Rag&Bone/ Vest:Theory/Pumps:Christian Louboutin/ Topcoat: Sandro Paris

These shredded and frayed Rag&Bone jeans are about to become a staple of mine. I am so obsessed with everything about them…especially the fact that they are cut in a flattering way, yet still manage to look 'tomboy cool'. I am wearing them with an oversized boyfriend style blouse, a tweed vest that is detailed with a subtle shimmer, and an added Chanel brooch I am currently "borrowing" from my sister (Thanks Cath!) As much as I would love just  to be wearing this outfit, it is still pretty cold outside…so over my shoulders is a Sandro Paris straight-fit topcoat in a charcoal grey color.
