This time last week, I was basking in the Florida sun at the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort. With three gorgeous pools on site and perched on miles of white sand and pristine beach, the resort was not only unforgettable, but also the perfect spot for a quick getaway.
As soon as you enter the lobby, you feel the warm embrace from the staff, Balinese- inspired décor, and the immediate tropical view overlooking the grounds.
Although there are endless opportunities for relaxation, my idea of vacation=straight to the beach. With a little bit of rain in and out on the first day, the beachfront cabana option was absolutely perfect. I could escape the rain, yet still be outside and feel/enjoy the warm breeze.
Cushioned chairs, bottled water, fresh fruit, and a service attendant make the cabana even more luxurious…along with champagne of course!
Watching the sun sink into the Gulf of Mexico does not get old. The lit-up and orange-colored sky is truly magical…and even more so when you are enjoying a cocktail and/or dinner while there is live acoustic music playing behind you.

Does anybody else wear their workout clothes hoping it will motivate them enough to actually make it to the gym…?
I always say I am going to continue to workout everyday while I am on vacation, but somehow it never seems to end up happening. This time around, I made it only a couple of times to the updated fitness center. With that being said...I didn’t do this of course--- but the resort also offers both private and group yoga and pilates sessions (I was too busy clearly)

I could have stayed in all day. The temperature was perfect.
The grounds and amenities are impeccable to say the least, and I cannot wait to plan my next trip.
