Off The Grid

If you are looking for a new and easy incorporation into your wardrobe, look no further than a grid print trouser.

Thermal Mini

Besides being cute and comfortable, the pullover style is super easy. The delicate distressing adds the perfect lived-in look to style casual cool.

'Mona Lisa'

My latest reasoning/excuse as to why I need to buy something these days is that… “I have this gut feeling it is going to sell out” (we all know that is the absolute WORST) and sometimes you just can’t take that risk!!

That was the case with both these Chloe wedges and Mona Lisa graphic tee. I was seeing these shoes all over…and I pulled one of those “no I’ll wait”…but in reality what are we ever waiting for?! It was not until I went to finally try them on at Saks and every color was sold out in my size that I realized I had to have them.  Luckily I found them online in the olive color that I have been loving (phewww) As for the top…I went back and forth for awhile wondering if I wanted to spend the money on a graphic tee and finally just went for the splurge because I thought it was too cool to pass up.

I decided to pair both with these destroyed white denim shorts. I love white denim in the spring and summer because there is something so refreshing about it. I added this canvas pouch because the fabric and tassels mesh well with the print on the front of the tee. Today’s accessories are available in many other colors and styles. I hope you find them as cool as I do. Thanks for stopping by today!! You can shop this look below:

Kick Back

Dress:Rag&Bone|Sneakers:Vince(similar)|Bag:Fendi|Sunnies:J.Crew x Illesteva (sold out)

Everything is all about the ‘kicks’ these days. It makes sense for the girl always on the run…they are practical and most of all comfortable…and you can pair them with pretty much anything. My kicks today have mesh side panels making them that much cooler!!

I am wearing a Rag & Bone navy/black two-tone dress, Illesteva sunnies, and my favorite mini Fendi monster bag for a very casual look. This is an outfit that is very easy to make your own by adding pieces for your own unique flare. Get the look below:

Easily Suede

I wore this outfit a couple of weeks ago to the preview of the Rag and Bone capsule collection for Intermix. The Pope was in town (AKA lot’s of traffic) and as I was rushing out the door to catch my Uber my sister snapped a few quick photos for me. I previously posed one on Instagram, but didn’t think it did the trick of showing off the outfit…so here we are!

One of the hottest trends right now is suede, and there is just soo much you can do with it. Whether it be layering it up (suede on suede), adding suede shoes, or if you are a festival girl…the obvious fringe and tassels! Think chic nude, tan, burnt orange, mustard, and even burgundy. I decided to pair a lace blouse with my brown suede shorts, and then added my new favorite patchwork suede ankle boots, which tie in all of the perfect colors for fall. When all else fails- Denim over everything. Today’s all denim look is broken up by a black leather belt and my favorite new gold booties.

We all have those different products we are willing to spend money on and those we are not. Designer denim has become a ‘thing’ for a while now (along with a lot of other merchandise) but we can’t forget about the awesome alternatives available. Today I did something a little different and found some great, similar, and more affordable pieces. Shop Below:

With summer coming to a close and fall right around the corner we all have one thing in mind…transitional dressing. Sometimes it can be the worst especially when it comes to shoes!!

When I think about shifting into fall, I start to wear more neutrals. It is important to remember there are more neutrals than just your black, gray, and beige shades. Think olive green, mustard yellow, burgundy, etc.

It is still very hot out so I am sticking to cooler clothing for now. When the temperature starts to change, a silk romper like the one I am wearing today can easily be paired with an oversized sweater.

Act Natural

So happy to be back on the blog today, yet so sad summer is coming to an end. I just got back from vacation on Saturday and I am missing the beach oh soo much. The weather was perfect and I am not looking forward to the winter.

Today I am wearing an ivory tunic (now on sale), which actually fits as a dress on me. It is VERY oversized and has a polo/tennis feel to it. The contrasting ribbon stripes make it very easy to pair with all of your favorite neutral accessories, which is why I added my two-tone Reed bag to bring in some other colors. The dress is also available in black. Shop this look below:

Precious and Primitive

Scarf:Precious and Primitive| Denim:Rag and Bone| Pumps: Christian Louboutin

Today I am showing off my beautiful new scarf from a recent collaboration with Precious and Primitive. The line created by Stephanie Sachs and Sandee Zahn combines precious fabrics with primitive designs, and uses bold colors and patterns in their ultra soft scarves. The tribal pattern (pictured above) has rich shades of brown and cream, which is perfect for me because I love neutrals so much.

I decided to be very simple today, while pairing the scarf with a white tee, denim, and my nude pumps. There are so many unique ways you can style the scarfs from headpieces, to tops, and even sarongs.

Weekender

Tee:Current Elliot(Similar)|Denim:Rag&Bone|Sweater:JCrew|
Pumps:Christian Louboutin|Weekender Bag:Sydney Love

Happy Friday everyone!!!

Well I'm off to the city this weekend for some fun time with the girls. I love this camo weekender bag I came across at a local boutique and it's coming with…perfect for an overnight or a couple of days. Today I am wearing a pair of Rag & Bone jeans which work so well with the so Kate Louboutin pumps and I added a great white tee and an orange sweater I bought at J.Crew which picks up the orange in my bag…just a great casual outfit to travel in. Be sure to check out my Instagram…some great shots coming up this month as I finally have gotten the time for a much needed vacation. Can't Wait!!!

Linen & Denim

White jeans are a summer staple for me. There is something so effortless about putting on your go to pair with literally anything from a simple tee or button down to a dressier shirt with a pair of pumps. With this outfit I chose to pair it with one of my favorite linen stripe button downs for summer. This top is still super neutral with a breathable linen material for those easy spring and summer days. I obviously had to add my latest obsession and purchase of these denim Louboutin’s to finish styling this look. These so Kate pumps will literally go with so many pieces I have in my summer wardrobe and I immediately had to bring them out.

Side Slit

Today’s oversized knit sweater is all about layering with the side slit. I love a great sweater and this one in particular is perfect all year round. Since it hasn’t been the warmest outside I layered a white tee and chambray shirt underneath. I just love how the open sides give visibility to the layering…especially on a day when the wind is blowing. On a warmer spring day I would not layer anything underneath it and instead, pair it with all white or a less distressed denim.

Spring Forward

Shot by Dino Petrocelli

Springing fashionably forward today with Current Elliot, Rag & Bone, and Joie. I recently stopped into Circles, a local boutique and spied this outfit on the mannequin, and knew right away I had to have it…found out one of my favorite girls styled it…Kudos Alex!! They pulled the entire outfit for me, I tried it on, and then added this floppy brim fedora. I am in love with the fit of these cropped pants especially since I have a very difficult time finding pants that fit me well. The tee I am sporting actually is a muscle tank with an open back…going to be so cool for the summer. The Current Elliot denim jacket is oversized and boxy and I imagine I will be pairing this with a lot. Easiest outfit I have ever purchased!!

Blue Bomber

Shot by Emily Cloutier

It is almost 40 outside today!! Wahoo!! Talking about weather may be one of the most boring conversations, but lately it has been front and center for us New Yorkers. Today’s street style shots are pretty different than what I am used to but I am loving the stair action. This look is super duper casual and I may be pushing the limits with only a lightweight bomber jacket on…but I just cannot wait any longer. These are one of my favorite pair of Rag & Bone pants. They fit me perfectly (which is hard to find) and I love the military kind of look the suede side patches give them. I paired them with suede slip-on’s (also Rag & Bone) a chambray shirt, and of course the blue bomber for a real street look.

Denim: Rag&Bone/ Vest:Theory/Pumps:Christian Louboutin/ Topcoat: Sandro Paris

These shredded and frayed Rag&Bone jeans are about to become a staple of mine. I am so obsessed with everything about them…especially the fact that they are cut in a flattering way, yet still manage to look 'tomboy cool'. I am wearing them with an oversized boyfriend style blouse, a tweed vest that is detailed with a subtle shimmer, and an added Chanel brooch I am currently "borrowing" from my sister (Thanks Cath!) As much as I would love just  to be wearing this outfit, it is still pretty cold outside…so over my shoulders is a Sandro Paris straight-fit topcoat in a charcoal grey color.

I love boyfriend jeans because they are so easy to glam up or dress down and they give off that vibe that you look put together yet not trying too hard. I usually add a splash color with denim..it always seems to do the trick. These papaye colored edition of Christian Louboutin's 'So Kate' booties are my absolute favorite and they take this neutral outfit from simple and baggy to feminine with their high heel and touch of fiery orange. I added my  taupe Sara Battaglia bucket bag because I love the leather tassels…they add such a 'chicness' to this great carryall.

Layering is a necessity this time of year…with the weather so up and down it is important to have layers that you can either add or remove if it gets too warm. These black leather shorts are a perfect year-round piece. Today I added tights and a bulky knit sweater paired with an infinity scarf, a gray beanie from J.Crew, and this gray coatigan, which makes this outfit effortlessly cool.
