Camouflage aka Camo has been used throughout history to blend in and stay hidden, however somewhere down the line fashion has taken the fabric and re-interpreted it in a way to stand out from the crowd.
These days, the old school pattern can be found on anything…from lounge-wear to the runway, and everything in between. When finding the perfect balance, you are able to get the best of both worlds, and treat camo as a neutral. And just like stripes and leopard, this ‘neutral’ doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.
There is nothing I love more than coming across the most amazing and unique pieces, and this Nicole Miller dress is unlike anything I have ever laid eyes on, and I knew right away that I just HAD to style it. Although the silhouette of this ‘gown’ is definitely on the dressier side, I wanted to try to dress it down a little without taking away from the see-through mesh statement. A bodysuit and thigh-high boots allow for the perfect amount of skin to show through without overdoing it, and a Gucci belt bag adds a casual touch and a bit of Safari-like vibes.
