Mensy Trousers

Today’s I am taking notes from the boys in these ‘mensy’ trousers. They are a really cool piece because they are a relaxed silhouette, but really can be dressed up and dressed down.

Hectic schedules can sometimes allow us to forget about other obligations, planning, and saving we may have to do. When Supursestyle reached out to me asking to collaborate, they could not have chosen a better time.

Rumors Salon & Spa

Hello friends,

My posts might be a little sparatic for the upcoming week or so as I am out of commission. Hope to be up and about soon and back at work. In the meantime, today's look has that military feel to it. I have had this jacket for awhile now and I don't get to wear it to often but it seemed to work well with these side striped trousers. They have a small slit at the bottom which is very in right now..giving them that athleisure feel. I just added a geometric mock-neck top with a pop of red in the shoe and this great gold clutch from Rebecca Minkoff which picks up the gold from the buttons on the jacket. This is probably one of my favorite looks for the season. Find similar items below and thank you for stopping by today.

Happy humpday everyone,

The sun is shining and we are in for another great day today, so I thought I would wear these shorts from last year with a great top from intermix that I fell in love with. (It is another item on sale right now). So Crisp and clean looking, yet the ruffles add a little flirty fun and paired with the polka dot in the shorts with the scalloped edge, what's left to say? I wanted to add a little sophistication so I decided on heels rather than a flat sandal to pump up my look. While they do not have this particular pattern this year, they are still available in a wide variety of colors. Just a bit of cuteness when you want shorts but also want to dress your outfit up a little. The fabric is great and so is the fit. Check out the links below, thanks for stopping by and have the best day...

Red Threads

Happy Tuesday everyone,

I am loving the look of scarves these days, rather around the neck, as a belt, around a hat or in the hair, they add a certain je ne sais quoi. This one in particular has an equestrian look to it, the brown tones mixed with the red are so elegant. Originally I was going to wear a red shoe but then decided to pull from the brown so I added my calf hair booties for that unexpected punch. No matter, it's still all about this scarf for me. I went from having it around my neck to tying it around my head and you are probably going to see me wearing this look at least a few times this summer as I play around with this accessory. Today I decided to wear sleek white wide-leg pants and this red and white striped off the shoulder top, another popular look this summer. Just a red belt, my purse, a little jewelry and the look is complete. Hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping by. Shop today's look below:

Pink Jacquard

Happy Tuesday everyone!!

I am all pink today (my favorite color!!) This is another outfit I purchased from the crazy sale happening at Intermix. Both this sweater and these shorts are now marked under $100.

This sweater is a pretty pink rib crew neck that can be worn all year and layered into any look and I paired it today with these tailored jacquard shorts. I love the charm and subtle beauty of the pattern because it is so glamorous and does not need any further embellishment (unless you want to add it of course). I have been seeing very similar pieces out for the fall and a ton of heavy and luxurious fabrics combined into both clothing and accessories. This is definitely a trend to look for. This outfit is linked below, along with other jacquard shorts and skirts with matching sweaters and pumps. Thanks for stopping by.

Girl on the Go

Happy Thursday,

With the weather finally turning nice, it looks like summer is almost here. Yesterday I went on a seven mile hike to the top of Bucks Peak in Lake George. The view was breathtaking and I was able to get in some great exercise. Some of you were inquiring about my pants, they are not available through my site but you can go to the Adidas website to find them. They are part of the Dream Awaken collection by Pharrell Williams (really cool stuff) you are only allowed to purchase two pieces at once from the line. They were running a little large for me so I would watch my sizing, I ordered an extra small and I thought they were more like a size small so depending on your own body you might want to size down. Just food for thought if you don't want to worry about exchanging and then have them be no longer available.

Today's outfit is a black silk dress from rag and bone. This is one of those outfits where that big chunky jewelry I spoke about looks so good. I was going back and forth between the necklace I have on and one very similar from J.Crew(here) but in the end that little bit of gold stood out. The topper is a Eugenia Kim boater hat...(Love her hats).  There is versatility in this dress, it is one that you could wear to a fancy event by just adding a pair of heels and depending whether or not it was a daytime or evening event, would determine my accessories. Today, I am wearing it very casual with a simple pair of black sandals, but it is so easy to take it from cute and feel good to a real WOW!!! number. Thanks for stopping by today and check out the links below.

Olive Green

Hi everyone,

Rise and shine, the weather is so gorgeous today that I am not going to waste one second. I started my day with an early barre class, a quick coffee run and then going from there. You just can't resist getting out of the house and enjoying the day when it is so nice. Intermix is having a great sale with an additional 40% off, don't miss this one because you can find some really good deals and their clothing is beautiful. I recently purchased this olive green knit top already on sale plus with the additional percentage off, it was next to nothing and what a great day to wear it. This top is great to throw on with a pair of your favorite jeans, shorts, or even a cute skirt... fun and flirty. I added a calf hair belt for a little spark, my Chloe espadrilles and this choker, which was the second one of my moms I borrowed. Everything comes around again, don't be so quick to get rid of things and knowing it belongs to my mother, it's all that much more special. Below, shop my top sale picks from Intermix. Thanks for stopping by today!!

Set the tone with dramatic hardware and modern details. Military-inspired pieces make a statement. Today’s ‘Alexander Military Blazer’ was an exclusive piece for Intermix, and unfortunately is sold out…but don’t worry you can still easily get this look! I have included a few other shoppable military-like pieces below that I love.

Instead of pairing my blazer with jeans or trousers, I went with a new pleated tulle mini skirt. There is something about the tailored jacket and bouncy skirt together that just works.

Sweatshirt: J.Crew/Pants: J.Crew/Pumps: Christian Louboutin

A sweatshirt acceptable to wear out?!? Yes Please! This pink sand colored sweatshirt is a dream come true...Loose and comfy enough to dress down, yet the sequins make it lavish enough to dress up. And since chambray moves effortlessly from low-key to fancy…why not pair the two?! I added a cream color skinny jean and my newest pair of Christian Louboutin pumps for a neutral mix. The t-strap heels are finished with a fishnet pointed toe and leather heel, creating the perfect silhouette.

Coat: Exclusive for Intermix (Sold Out)

Jeans: J.Crew

Boots: Reed Krakoff (Older)

I bought this topcoat exclusive for Intermix in early fall and it really has become one of my go-to staples. It always looks so chic no matter if it is dressed up or down…that's what I love most about it. Today for a casual day time look I paired it with my favorite skinny jeans from J.Crew that I cuffed above my boots and a simple blouse…making for an easy go-to outfit.

One of the reasons I love plaid is because it is so versatile. This coat from Intermix can be worn with gray, tones of red, pink, or as you see here I paired it with a lavender sweater and cream colored jeans. You can dress it both up with a skirt or down with  trousers. It just seems to work with a lot. If you are a neutral girl,  the colors are muted to give you just enough of what you need without being too bold.
